The Shelton community and surrounding towns are desperately searching for a dog that went missing on July 21.
Louie, a 5-year-old male pit mix, was last seen on Waverly Road in Shelton. According to the family, Louie slipped his collar when he was with this pet sitter.
He was rescued from a shelter in Bridgeport 5 years ago. There is a $5,000 reward for his safe return with no questions asked.
His family asks that if you see Louie, do not call out or chase after him. Contact 203-246-6628 immediately if spotted.

From the owner
We cant thank you enough!
Overwhelmed by so many of you coming bye today and grabbing posters, flyers and mini brochures to get the word out. We will be refilling the table again tomorrow.
Please tell your friends , your co-workers, local Barbershops of Louie. Many don’t have social media and our concern is sometimes people wouldn’t think twice about calling in a stray pitbull mix roaming
on its own.
Hundreds of you have reached out to me and shared personal success story’s on very similar situations or story’s of friends that found their furry friend even after days / week/ months of no sighting ❤️🙏
One person said they heard of a friend that lost their pitbull on a camping trip in New Hampshire and the dog found its way home to Easton CT after three months , truly remarkable!
For me tonight is no different then any other night, I will be camping out in the woods hoping and praying he picks up on my scent and the pieces of clothes that I spread out that would lead him directly towards me at the last sighted location.
BUT the most important goal rite now is to report a louie sighting so if needed we can reposition our scent trail.
This has been tiring at times and a true mental / emotional test. However I know just like many of you know that my boys looking for me , just as much as all of us is looking for him.
From the deepest part of my soul thank you so so much for the support , messages, recommendations and prayers 🙏🙏🙏
Please spread the word to friends throughout Fairfield county ❤️❤️
Please share/ tag and repost and make sure it’s set to public share – if possible🙏
